We are a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels, and convenience store retailing.

  • Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day

  • Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals.

  • Our Retail or convenience store part of Delek, runs over 250 stores in Texas and New Mexico. We also have company-branded New-to-Industry DK stores in the southern part of the US!

  • Our three renewables’ plants in Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi combined can produce 40 million gallons of biodiesel fuel a year.

JOB SUMMARY

The Director, General Accounting Midstream supports the Senior Director, General Accounting by overseeing accounting teams within the midstream segment. This role involves leading the monthly accounting closing process, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and acting as a thought leader in specific subject matter areas and accounting policies. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with Business Customers to ensure mutual goals and reporting requirements are met, providing ongoing business support, value, and implementing best practices int he close process and reporting of accoutning results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required)

  • Twelve (12) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)

  • Five (5) years in a leadership role

  • Required CertIfications/Licensures: (CPA Designation)

  • Oil & Gas experience preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP is preferred.

  • Data science experience/concept knowledge highly preferred.

  • Provide leadership across multiple midstream accounting teams, overseeing all aspects of their operations withint the organization.

  • Assists with the day to day accounting operations of the company.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the accounting group and manage transformationl changes as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Responsible for reviewing closing cycle performance and leading closing cycle improvements and working with the Corporate Controller to lead closing cycle improvement initiatives over processes, procedures, and systems necessary to maintain proper accounting records, adequate internal accounting controls and timely closing cycle.

  • Reviews and or approves corporate division general journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy, ensuring that reconciling items are being addressed timely.

  • Proposing adjusting entries for account corrections to provide accurate financial statements.
